The Pearl Savage #1 Alpha Warrior of the Band by Tamara Rose Blodgett
Our future is never predetermined. Our lives almost never turn out the way we expected them too. Clara Williamson realized this when her world of sphere-dwelling and continuous abuse changed.
America suffers a dark gloomy apocalyptic event which tosses them into the past of their own history mixed with micro splashes of the future. Citizens dwell in spheres created one hundred forty years prior, designed to protect them from the fatal results of the cataclysmic events that occured.
Society has reverted to medieval times with Kings, Queens, and a high court. Clara, princess and royalty faces torment and abuse everyday. With arranged marriages, she is to be forced to marry a tyrant who physcially tortures and threatens to do worse, all while her mother watches and approves.
With the help of her closest friends as well as citizens who hope for a better future, she escapes the sphere, only to be taken by savages.
Clara faces danger and fear of the unknown when she discovers the outside was so much more than what they were taught all their lives. Secrets reveal themselves like petals of a flower slowly opening.
With newly opened eyes and heart, Clara discovers that the outside people are not savages afterall and her traumatic experience was really a blessing in disguise.
I have to say that I downloaded this book on my kindle app, only because it was free at the time. That was four years ago. I really wish I had read it sooner because I didn’t want to stop. My heart went out to Clara and the abuse and torment she endured. Now there are several books in this series and I can’t wait to get my hands on book two.
I recommend this dark paranormal fantasy to anyone who is interested is something unique and out of the norm.
Will definitely be adding Tamara Rose Blodgett to my favorite author’s list.
