Dream Hunter by Maya Tyler

Dream Hunter by Maya Tyler instantly snagged me into the storyline on the first page, well really the first sentence.

Ms. Tyler’s descriptions and character development are unique and exciting. She uses a great skill of giving birth to characters and a story that will drop you into a fantasy world where we have guardian angels watching over and protecting us.

There is a something or someone after Cynthia and her troubles begin when a strange package is delivered to her office. Her world changes yet again when her dream lover becomes reality and is determined to protect her from the force after her.

Her path drops another twisting turn when her reality changes from a fantasy guardian destined to protect her to a semi rewind where a police officer wants to question her about the strange package.

This is definitely the best novella I have ever read and I am chomping at the bits because I can’t turn the page to begin chapter one of a full novel. Looking forward to reading the rest of Cynthia’s story and find out more.

I give Dream Hunter a Four-Star and encourage to not believe all the negative reviews. My gut instinct tells me this was just a sip, a taste of something more intriguing to come.

Ashes To Ashes, The Scribing of Ishitar Volume II by Carrie F. Shepherd

Ashes to Ashes, The Scribing of Ishitar, Volume II by Carrie F. Shepherd is a colorful twist and consequence of a rebellion by angels and demons, an act that caused them to be banished from heaven in Book One of this series.

The story includes a wide variety of fantasy characters in addition to angels and demons along with typical mortal humans. Without reading the first book in this series it will take a little bit of focus and patience to decipher good from evil or maybe a pinch of both!

Kingdoms are fought over by the Gods in the heavens and as usual, lesser creatures are always in the wrong place at the wrong time.

A story of greed, deceit, and revenge amongst the supernatural ranks, all with the desire for more everything, more power, and forbidden love will birth a war. Species will attempt to outdo other species and the battles will become a matter of survival.

Friendships between races weaken to the breaking point as love affairs are ripped into pieces.  Death and destruction plague all as a young man leads his people to battle and just at the onslaught of defeat, surprising aid comes from unexpected origins.

Betrayal and trust, melt and mix to the point where the only thing reliable is one’s own survival.  Forget prayers to a higher power, the Gods are the deliverers and the worst of all evil.

This author keeps you hooked with all the twists and turns and shocking events.  However, I do recommend that you read the first book in the series as this is not a stand alone.  I believe I would have enjoyed the first part of the story much more if I had read book One first instead of attempting to develop and decipher the characters on my own.

I do recommend this book for the paranormal and fantasy lovers out there!  This story will have a little taste of everything that you crave, therefore giving this tale a BIG 4 Stars!

HAPPY EASTER!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful and happy Easter!!!  Looking forward to this weekend myself.  Itching and can’t sit still because I wanna get home and jump into my writing.

That’s right!  I finally busted through that horrible block!!  Geez, I mean it was really bad!  Everytime I sat down at the laptop, I just stared at the page and scene where I left off.  Nothing, I mean absolutely nothing would come to my brain or flow out of me.

I didn’t give up though and finally the ideas overflowed.

Maya and Bri’s adventure is coming along and unexpected events are happening that I never knew before hand.  Pretty soon I will post some excerpts to get opinions AND suggestions!

Happy Holiday.

Looking forward to this weekend myself.  Itching and can’t sit still because I wanna jump head-first into my writing.

That’s right!  I finally busted through that horrible block!  Geez, I mean it was really bad!  Overtime I sat down at the laptop, I just stared at the page and the scene where I left off.  Nothing, I mean absolutely nothing would come to my brain or flow out of me.

I didn’t give up though and finally the ideas overflowed.

Maya and Bri’s adventure is coming along and unexpected events are happening that I never knew before hand.  They are straying off the outline path! Giggles.

Pretty soon I will post some excerpts to get opinions AND suggestions.  Still working on book reviews as well.

HAPPY HOLIDAY!!

There is a BAD BOY in my head!

His name is Sorem.  A very long time ago he fell from heaven and landed in the realm of Hell, where he soon figured out that could enjoy certain things without feeling any guilt.

Centuries later he climbed the social ladder and was promoted to a higher demon and given the task of leading an army of lower level demons.  They hide behind human bodies as they move among us, where they seduce woman and give in to their blood lusts with violence and crime.  Eventually a new race of half- breeds will inhabit the earth and the battle between heaven and hell will proceed to a new level.

Only one person can stop him, someone just like him, someone that has the same blood.

But will the light angel side buried deep in his soul, allow him to stop the woman that can defeat him? The woman he sired?

Shadowed Angels….COMING SOON!

Happy Hump Day!!!

I promised a sneak peek into Maya and Bri’s world, so here is a little taste of angels and demons for you!  Have a great Wednesday!!!

“See.  I told you.” Bri nudged Maya’s arm with his elbow.  Maya couldn’t help tensing up and feeling disappointed in her species.  She had hoped that some of the demons, at least the ones that flowed in her veins, were not all evil.  Looking around the club, she checked to see if anyone else was noticing what was happening to the man in booth.

“I can’t do this Bri.” She glanced around nervously before turning her attention to Bri.  He glanced in her direction, his one eyebrow raised.

“Why not?  She is a demon just like all the others.”  Maya inhaled deeply and swallowed a large lump in her throat at Bri’s question.

“She is a woman, a female.” She whispered hesitantly.  Secretly she wished Bri would understand being that he was an angel and pretty much holy in her eyes.

“What? You can’t kill a woman? Oh…wait.” He paused as a twinkle sparked in his eyes.  There was a slight grin tickling the corners of his mouth.

“Its not that you can’t kill her is it?”  Maya blushed and diverted her eyes back out to the dance floor.  He was enjoying this, her discomfort.  Maya’s list of dislikes for Bri was growing larger than her list of likes.
